About the Division As a Division of the Academy, the Business Services Division lead the provision of quality Academy corporate support services and functions (such as procurement, human resources, finance, facilities management and project management) which enable successful operation of the Academy, as well as oversight and delivery of the compliance obligations required of a statutory authority. The Academy Procurement function leverages the DE's procurement resources and policies to ensure a strategic and compliant approach to the Academy's purchasing of goods and services. About the Role The purpose of the Procurement & Project Management Office (PPMO) unit is to provide a strategy driven quality management approach to governance, business planning, compliance, reporting, project and program management and large-scale purchasing. The Academy has a Senior Procurement Officer vacancy within the Procurement team of the PPMO. The Academy Procurement function leverages the Department of Education's procurement resources and policies to ensure a strategic and compliant approach to the Academy's purchasing of goods and services. The purpose of this role is to provide expert procurement guidance and support to Academy staff who are leading procurement activities at the Academy. This involves reviewing or drafting and progressing procurement documentation in alignment with Academy and Department procurement policies and processes, reporting on the status of procurement activities to the Executive Leadership Team and assisting with procurement capability building. Specifically, this role is responsible for: * Managing end-to-end procurement activities and providing expert procurement advice * Building and maintaining effective relationships with relevant stakeholders * Ensuring procurement activities align with government and legislative requirements * Contributing to building organisational procurement capability Leading, managing or supporting elements of Academy projects or initiatives * Representing the Academy at Department or other procurement-related meetings or events * Continuous improvement of existing procurement process.
