Utility Solutions Group (USG) is a Melbourne-based utilities and civil contractor delivering end-to-end solutions across a wide range of projects. Off the back of continued growth, we're expanding our civil teams and looking for a motivated hands on Civil Forman/Supervisor to lead field crews across Metro Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking reliable an experienced Civil Foreman/Supervisor to support our site crews on a variety of civil infrastructure projects.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will take ownership of daily site operations across multiple civil work fronts including roads, drainage, concrete, utilities and streetscape works.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Supervising and coordinating site crews, plant and subcontractors
* Planning and allocating daily tasks to meet program and quality requirements
* Ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications
* Leading excavation, trenching, conduit installation, drainage and concrete works
* Managing materials, deliveries and site set-out
* Conducting pre-starts, toolbox talks and safety inspections
* Liaising with supervisors, project managers and stakeholders
* Maintaining site documentation and reporting progress
ABOUT YOU
You are a hands-on leader who can run civil crews on active construction sites and take ownership of outcomes.
You will ideally have:
* Proven experience as a Civil Foreman, Supervisor or Senior Leading Hand
* Strong background in civil construction, utilities or council works
* Experience in drainage, concrete, asphalt, pavement, trenching or streetscape projects
* Ability to read plans, manage crews and coordinate multiple work fronts
* Commitment to safety, quality and productivity
* White Card
* Plant tickets such as excavator, roller, skid steer, traffic management, first aid or VEDN (highly regarded)
* Current driver's licence and reliable transport
