Temporary Finance Officer – $45 per hour + Super | Full‑Time | Office‑Based | Contract Until End of July

An opportunity is available for an experienced Finance Officer to join a supportive Corporate Services team in a full‑time temporary role through to the end of July. Based in the office and working Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, this role supports the Senior Finance Officer across a broad range of accounting, asset management, and internal IT support activities.
Your new role
Reporting to the Senior Finance Officer, you will support day‑to‑day financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing. You will also play a key role in asset tracking and act as the first point of contact for internal IT issues, liaising with external providers as required.
Key Responsibilities
* Process supplier invoices, payments, and creditor management
* Prepare sales invoices and ensure correct coding and documentation
* Perform daily and monthly financial reconciliations
* Assist with monthly financial reporting
* Maintain asset and portable & attractive item registers
* Coordinate and compile annual asset stocktakes
* Provide internal IT helpdesk support and liaise with external IT providers
* Handle vendor and internal finance enquiries
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Certificate IV in Accounting or Business Management
* Experience using MYOB or similar accounting software
* Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
* Experience working with IT systems
* High attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* A current C Class Driver’s Licence
* Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
