About the role
As Marketing Manager - Brand, you'll be the custodian of Hume Bank's brand, translating our purpose - to create a secure tomorrow by connecting people and community through fair and accessible banking - into distinctive, trusted, and memorable brand experiences.
You'll lead brand strategy and positioning, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives while building long-term brand equity. From managing distinctive brand assets and guidelines to activating the brand across community sponsorships, branches, digital platforms and employee touchpoints, you'll ensure consistency and impact at every customer interaction.
This role demands both strategic thinking and hands-on execution. You'll leverage market research and customer insights to inform decisions, monitor competitive movements, manage agency partners to deliver creative excellence, and collaborate across Marketing, Digital, Customer Growth and frontline teams to embed the brand throughout the customer lifecycle.
You'll also assist managing the brand budget, using performance data to optimise ROI and demonstrate measurable impact.
This is a full-time permanent position based at our head office in Albury, NSW. Flexible hybrid working is available for those living in the Albury area.
What you can expect
Reporting to the Head of Brand, you will:
* Lead the development and execution of Hume Bank's brand strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and customer growth objectives.
* Work closely with creative, media, and strategic agencies to deliver impactful campaigns.
* Activate the brand internally and externally through purpose, values, customer value proposition (CVP), and employee value proposition (EVP).
* Lead brand activations across community events, sponsorships, branches, and digital platforms.
* Using customer insights and competitor research to inform smart, effective brand decisions.
About you
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
* Tertiary qualifications in marketing/communications or related field
* Proven experience in brand management, preferably within services or financial services marketing.
* Strong track record in building and executing brand strategies that deliver customer and commercial outcomes. Expertise in managing and evolving distinctive brand assets and brand positioning.
* Experience leveraging market research and customer insight to inform brand strategy.
* Demonstrated ability to balance short-term tactical activations with long-term brand growth initiatives.
* Skilled in agency management, briefing, and collaboration.
* Outstanding oral and written communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with a collaborative mindset.

Our process
