About the role

We have a new opportunity for a qualified and experienced Personal Care Worker to join our Home Care Team in Katherine, NT. This role is available on a permanent full-time basis working 38 hours per week – Monday – Friday. This role attracts an hourly rate of $ $38.19 / hour (dependent on skills and experience).

Your role as Personal Care Worker will see you travelling to our elderly consumers homes and providing care and support within the consumers home environment, undertaking cleaning, bed making, personal care including grooming, toileting, showering, mobility and assisting with meals. You may also be required to assist with social support, taking consumers to appointments and shopping.

As the ideal candidate, you will bring previous experience ideally within the Aged Care industry and have clear knowledge of Aged Care standards when delivering care. You will be comfortable travelling to people's homes to provide this care and able to retain a fully insured and reliable vehicle. You will have a caring and understanding approach, whilst also able to understand a client's care-plan and delegated services provided by their My Aged Care funding. You will enjoy travelling to people's homes and providing a service with strong customer service attitude and respect.

Skills & experience:

To be considered for this role, we ask that you submit your resume addressing the following requirements:

* Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Care, Disability Care.
* Demonstrated experience in assisting with the activities of daily living in a community or Home Care setting preferably, however, not essential.
* Demonstrated effective interpersonal and both verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to manage and work within a culturally diverse team environment.
* An ability to undertake a range of manual handling functions related to the role.
* Personal registered and insured vehicle.

ARRCS mandatory compliance:

It is mandatory for all ARRCS employees to have the below prior to their commencement:

* You must have or lodged a National Police Check within the last 3 months.
* Provide evidence of current Influenza Vaccination.
* NDIS Workers Screening check received or lodged.
