About the role

As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will be instrumental in providing exceptional early childhood education aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and Council’s strategic objectives. Your key responsibilities include planning, implementing, and assessing engaging learning programs that inspire a love for learning in children and their families.

You will ensure children’s safety and wellbeing by rigorously adhering to Child Safe Standards, maintaining accurate developmental records, and managing essential administrative tasks. Supporting the Centre Director with daily operations will also be a significant aspect of your role, as will fostering transparent communication with families about their child’s progress.

Delivering outstanding customer service and contributing positively to the community are central to this position.

About You

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and committed educator who prioritises children’s development and wellbeing. The ideal candidate will bring the following qualifications and qualities:

* Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education combined with ongoing professional development
* Current Identify and Respond to Children and Young People at Risk Accreditation
* Current Provide First Aid qualification (HLTAID 011)
* Current Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate (HLTAID 009)
* Current Certificate in Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management
* Provisional or Proficient Teacher Accreditation

Other important information

* The commencing hourly rate for this position is up to $40.64 per hour. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum hourly rate of $48.86 per hour on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus 12% superannuation
* We have a temporary part-time role available
* This role is located at the Umina Children's Centre

Council may create an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.
