About the Opportunity The Production Engineer provides technical shipbuilding support for Piping & Mechanical to SSA Engineering organisation to ensure the successful execution of Design Authority engineering intent. Under the guidance of the Production Engineering Lead, this role monitors manufacturing activities to ensure they follow agreed procedures and quality standards. What’s Involved Support and lead engineering activities across shipbuilding projects from design through installation, testing & commissioning of piping & mechanical system. Support the definition of production scope and development of work packages Apply construction standards, procedures, and processes to daily manufacturing oversight Collaborate with Quality and Accuracy Control teams to ensure compliance Contribute to risk identification within the production environment. You’ll Need Essential Mechanical engineering qualification with heavy engineering industry experience of minimum 2 years. Understanding of manufacturing, installation and testing processes & protocols for piping and mechanical systems Ability to interpret technical drawings and coordinate across multiple disciplines. Competency in Microsoft Office suite Experience with the use of CAD software Effective communications skills; both written and verbal Desirable Experience in Shipbuilding projects-Piping & Mechanical systems Lean manufacturing process Why Join Us?
