The role of Grower Relationship Manager is part of a dynamic team that actively promotes QSL's sugar pricing and marketing offering. This role has a strong client relationship management, leadership and sales focus, with ongoing responsibilities to build enduring, trusted relationships with cane growers in the Burdekin. The Grower Relationship Manager will build knowledge and confidence in QSL's products and service offerings and identify opportunities where QSL can facilitate and support grower success further and achieve meaningful and sustainable growth in tonnes under management. Success in the role sees QSL being regarded as the number one trusted marketing partner in the region and a global success story.

Reporting to the Manager – Grower Services, this position is ultimately responsible for:

* The development and implementation of sales and engagement plans to acquire new grower business and grow tonnes under management while retaining and growing existing relationships through superior client engagement strategies and managing growers' needs in line with corporate objectives.
* Responsible for day‐to‐day account management, incorporating a strong focus on face‐to‐face engagement via farm visits and shed meetings to increase knowledge of the benefits of using QSL and understanding of QSL's products and services.
* Managing grower enquiries, including pricing and marketing.
* Leading the Grower Relationship team for the Burdekin Region, driving strategic plans targeting grower segments in line with corporate objectives.
* Delivering local communication programs in consultation with growers and grower organisations, such as local industry partners and boards.
* Developing links between grower organisations and key local growers to provide direct relationships between QSL and industry.
* Supporting and driving the implementation of the QSL Sales and Stakeholder Engagement strategy within the region.

To be considered for this pivotal position, you will have:

* Relevant tertiary qualifications in either agribusiness, commerce, business/ finance, economics or equivalent practical experience.
* Demonstrated working knowledge in the agribusiness sector with a genuine interest in soft commodity markets.
* Previous experience managing rural accounts in a competitive market environment with some exposure to origination, commodity market and risk management, forward pricing and pooling and contract life cycles.
* Experience in leading and developing a high‐performance team.
* Strong analytical skills and ability to formulate strategies to exceed client expectations.
* A high degree of genuine empathy and engagement with the ability to influence positive outcomes across a broad stakeholder mix.
* Achieve drive to work to agreed targets through self‐directed and proactive planning.
* Experience and high level of comfort working in a fast‐paced and rapidly changing environment.
* Superior negotiation and communication skills coupled with a high degree of computer literacy.

A full open and clean driver's licence is essential and flexibility to travel throughout the region to support growers is essential.
