About the Position
As the Lecturer – High Risk Assessor, you will be responsible for contributing to the VET teaching and assessment programs in campus classrooms, workshops and/or the workplace environment. Working under the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA), the competency standards of the Transport & Logistics (TLI) and Resources & Infrastructure Industry (RII) Training Packages and industry requirements, the main focus is to be on training, customer service and student administration to current students and apprentices.
About You
To be successful, you will require:
* Hold TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor or equivalent qualification as outlined by Australian Skills Quality Authority Framework (ASQA) or the ability to obtain this qualification in a set time frame.
* Accreditation with NT Worksafe as a High-Risk Work Assessor for LF, WP, DG, RB. You will also hold qualifications in Working at Heights and Confined Spaces.
* At least 5 years post trade experience in the civil, mining or construction industry.
* Relevant experience in training within the context of the civil, mining and construction industry and be able to demonstrate an understanding of Competency Based Training and Workplace Assessment.
* Demonstrated ability to engage in effective and proactive teamwork recognising the abilities of others and utilising co-operative approaches.
* Demonstrated high level interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills including the ability to communicate in a culturally sensitive manner with internal and external stakeholders to whom English may not be the first language.
* Demonstrated competency with the Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software packages.
Desirable:
* Hold a Cert III in Civil Construction and have demonstrated relevant work experience covering RII training package.
Appointment is contingent upon; receipt of a satisfactory National Criminal History check and receipt of a NT Working with Children clearance.
Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at VET Academic Level A. The base salary will be in the range of $76,604 - $114,924 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $89,626 - $134,461 per annum including 17% superannuation.
