About the role
The HR Manager provides strategic and operational HR support to foster a high-performance culture, ensure compliance, and align talent strategies with business objectives. The role supports line managers and employees across all HR matters, manages the interface with payroll, and leads initiatives in employee engagement, compliance, workforce planning, and learning and development.
This role is based in Lidcombe with onsite parking available.

Strategic HR Leadership
Partner with senior leadership on workforce planning and organisational design.
Lead implementation of group HR strategies and promote cultural alignment.
Act as a trusted advisor to managers and senior leaders on HR-related matters.
Instill a company culture of compliance, ensuring alignment with Morco Fresh's policies, procedures, and employee handbook.
Recruitment & Onboarding
Manage end-to-end recruitment processes across all levels.
Oversee onboarding, induction, and new hire orientation.
Support talent planning and employee retention initiatives.
Employee Relations & Compliance
Lead investigations, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
Ensure compliance with employment legislation and Fair Work obligations.
Liaise with legal counsel, and regulatory bodies as required.
Deliver mandated compliance training (e.g., Sexual Harassment).
Manage workers compensation and return-to-work processes.
Identify, manage, and appropriately escalate potential disciplinary or performance matters in line with company policy and legal requirements.
HR Operations & Administration
Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR documentation and employee records.
Conduct annual salary reviews and bonus processes, including target setting, calculations, and communications.
Prepare and deliver reports including WGEA, Modern Slavery, and other compliance requirements.
Deliver monthly and ad hoc HR reports for executive leadership.
Ensure adherence to legislation, industry standards, and quality frameworks (e.g., Chain of Responsibility for drivers).
Learning, Development & Engagement
Design and implement learning programs to build employee capabilities.
Support leadership development and succession planning.
Promote initiatives that enhance engagement, wellbeing, and retention.
Workplace Health & Safety
Contribute to WHS strategy and implementation of safe work practices.
The ideal candidate is highly motivated and engaging. You will have the ability to multitask, prioritise and work autonomously.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
7–10 years of progressive HR experience, including 2–3 years in a business partnering or HR management role.
In-depth knowledge of Australian employment law, modern awards, and compliance requirements.
Highly experienced in managing complex ER cases, and strategic HR initiatives.
Highly experienced in identifying, managing, and appropriately escalating potential disciplinary or performance matters in line with company policy and legal requirements.
Proficient in MS Office and experience with HRIS platforms (SAP, Workday, SuccessFactors, or similar).
Excellent interpersonal, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with blue-collar stakeholders.
Experience with large workforce.
Applicants must hold any valid Australian work visa or have unrestricted work rights.
Experience with both white- and blue-collar stakeholders.
Experience ideally in FMCG, or a similar fast-paced industry.
