About Uniting Garden Suburb
Uniting Garden Suburb is seeking experienced Care Workers to join our warm and welcoming aged care community. We're offering permanent part‑time opportunities across AM, PM and Night Duty shifts, with the chance to make a real difference in the lives of our residents every day. Located on the edge of a serene bushland reserve in the Lake Macquarie region of NSW, Uniting Garden Suburb is a peaceful and welcoming aged care home. It has three separate households, each with between 25 and 30 residents and includes a secure household for people living with dementia or mental health illness.
Responsibilities
* Provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents living in our aged care home, to help support their independence and improve their quality of life.
* Provide daily living assistance such as showering, personal hygiene, dressing, help at mealtimes and with general mobility.
* Assist with medication and simple wound dressings.
* Support residents in community‑based recreational and social activities.

Qualifications
* Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or an equivalent qualification.
* Previous experience in aged or community care, or a passion to begin your career in aged care if you're studying or have recently become qualified.
* Adept at being adaptable, empathetic, and resourceful.
* Ability to live Uniting's everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
