Senior Business Analyst – Enterprise Transformation Program – Utilities Sector – Initial 12-month contract (extensions highly likely) Are you interested in joining an organisation dedicated to providing essential services to individuals and communities in remote regions? Our client is a well-respected utilities provider currently delivering a large-scale Future Operating Model transformation and is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support the delivery of this multi-year program. Working closely with the Business Engagement Lead, you will play a key role in translating high-level business objectives into detailed requirements, target-state processes and solution designs. You will work across multiple workstreams to ensure the implemented solutions support regulatory compliance, improve customer experience and align with the organisation’s future operating model, including opportunities for process automation and simplification. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Support the Business Engagement Lead in managing the end-to-end development of business requirements across projects within the Operating Model Program. Work with key stakeholders to gather, analyse and document detailed business requirements and develop supporting business scope and conceptual design documentation. Develop as-is and to-be business process maps and ensure alignment with the organisation’s target operating model and process improvement objectives. Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process simplification, automation and operational efficiency. Develop business process design documentation in line with organisational standards. Provide guidance to development and testing teams on requirements clarification, solution design variations and defect resolution. Collaborate with change management, communications and training teams to support solution walkthroughs, change impact assessments and training inputs. Work closely with development and testing teams to ensure adequate test coverage, including support for user acceptance testing. Mentor internal staff and support the transfer of knowledge and documentation to ensure long-term capability uplift within the organisation. The role will be offered as an initial 12-month Day Rate contract with a very flexible hybrid WFH agreement. There will also be a requirement to travel to Darwin with the rest of the team for 1 week every month, though all costs and allowances are covered. The skills/experience needed will include but not be limited to: Proven experience working as a Senior Business Analyst within complex transformation or enterprise technology programs. Strong capability in business requirements elicitation, documentation and traceability. Exposure to asset management platforms such as Maximo or Oracle Demonstrated experience developing as-is / to-be process maps and supporting business process re-engineering initiatives. Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to facilitate workshops and gather requirements across diverse business groups. Experience working across Agile and Waterfall delivery environments, including writing Epics, User Stories and supporting SDLC delivery. Experience supporting test case development and user acceptance testing activities. Ability to translate business requirements into technical solution concepts in collaboration with delivery teams. Experience within utilities, infrastructure or regulated industries will be highly regarded. Want to apply?
