Posted: 5 March
Offer description

We're looking for an experienced Senior Planner to lead planning assessments, strengthen approval pathways, and provide expert compliance guidance across residential projects.

In this role, you'll take ownership of the planning and approvals process from early design review through to construction readiness. You'll assess compliance, prepare high-quality planning justifications, and work closely with internal teams and local authorities to keep projects progressing efficiently. You'll also contribute to improving processes and reducing approval delays across the business.

This is a great opportunity for a technically strong planner who enjoys problem-solving, influencing outcomes early, and being a trusted subject‐matter expert across planning and approvals.

Key focus areas include:

* Leading planning and compliance assessments
* Reviewing designs against R‐Codes and local planning controls
* Preparing clear, well‐reasoned planning justifications
* Liaising with local governments, certifiers, and developers
* Supporting sales, drafting, and design teams with compliance advice
* Identifying and implementing process improvements

About You

You're a qualified Town Planner with solid hands‐on experience and a strong working knowledge of WA planning frameworks. You combine technical accuracy with practical judgement and communicate compliance requirements clearly to both technical and non‐technical stakeholders.

You're organised, responsive, and solutions‐focused — someone who takes ownership, builds strong working relationships, and helps teams navigate approvals with confidence.

You'll ideally bring:

* A tertiary qualification in Town Planning
* Around 3+ years' relevant planning experience (WA preferred)
* Strong knowledge of local planning policies and approval pathways
* Experience preparing planning reports and justification letters
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* High attention to detail and time management
