Together, the two businesses combine innovation, precision manufacturing and hands-on expertise, offering a unique environment for a bookkeeper role that supports both operations within a well-established Australian manufacturing group.
The role:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented
Bookkeeper
to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in accuracy, and has a strong understanding of Australian accounting and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day bookkeeping functions including accounts payable and receivable
* Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts
* Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS and assist with GST compliance
* Process payroll, superannuation and employee entitlements in line with Fair Work requirements
* Maintain accurate financial records and general ledgers
* Assist with monthly reporting and budget preparation
* Assist with year-end preparation for accountants
* Ensure compliance with ATO and relevant statutory obligations
* Manufacturing job costing
* Liaise with operations and production teams to resolve costing or data discrepancies
* Liaise with external accounting partner.
About You
* Proven experience in a bookkeeping role within Australia
* Strong knowledge of BAS, GST and payroll obligations
* Experience using accounting software such as
Xero
,
MYOB
or similar
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
* Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
* Strong understanding of job costing, inventory and WIP accounting
* Experience working manufacturing/job-costing systems (highly regarded)
