As a remote maintenance officer, you will embark on an adventure of a lifetime in the breathtaking landscapes of rural and remote Northern Territory.
This hands-on role involves a diverse range of general maintenance tasks, ensuring the environment remains safe, well-maintained, and welcoming for residents, staff, and visitors. Your primary objective will be to perform minor repairs, preventative maintenance, and respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* Proven experience in preventative and reactive maintenance
* Familiarity with basic plumbing and electrical systems
* Able to operate tools, equipment, and vehicles safely and efficiently
* Strong understanding of risk assessment and safety protocols
Grounds and Facility Care
* Responsibility for landscaping and garden maintenance
* Operation of machinery and equipment
* Maintenance of irrigation and reticulation systems
* Cleaning and upkeep of facility vehicles
Safety and Compliance
* Strong knowledge of WHS practices and procedures
* Ability to conduct risk assessments and handle equipment safely
* Able to maintain accurate records and task sign-off procedures
* Supervision and coordination of contractors
Requirements and Benefits
* Formal trade qualifications or equivalent work experience
* Current first aid certificate
* A minimum of 2 years' experience in building/site maintenance
* Demonstrated knowledge of chemical material safety data sheets and associated safety precautions
