Reintegration Support Worker
About the Program
* Centacare Kimberley Limited has been contracted by the Western Australian Department of Justice to deliver a Reintegration Support Service across the West Kimberley through service centres based in Broome and Derby.
This service aims to provide structured social support services to people leaving prison and returning to their home towns and communities located throughout the West Kimberley.
The role involves providing reintegration support to people leaving prison who are referred to the service by Department of Justice staff at Broome Regional Prison.

Key Responsibilities
1. Provide intensive reintegration support to individuals leaving prison, focusing on addressing underlying issues that may impact their successful transition into the community.
2. Work closely with Department of Justice staff to ensure seamless referrals and effective coordination of services.
3. Bidual collaboration with local stakeholders to enhance community connections and foster a supportive environment for reintegration.

Requirements
* A relevant tertiary qualification in a field such as social work, psychology or criminology.
* Significant experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly those affected by incarceration.
* Strong understanding of the complexities surrounding reintegration and ability to develop tailored support plans.
* Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven capacity to build rapport with diverse individuals.
