Senior Practitioner - Domestic Family/Sexual Violence Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Practitioner to lead our domestic family/sexual violence response team. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing specialist case management plans, leading a team, and working effectively in a collaborative environment.
About the Role:
* Establish Specialist Case Management Plans:
o Develop and implement tailored case management plans for women and children experiencing domestic family and/or sexual violence.
o Work closely with clients to identify their unique needs and develop strategies to address them.
* Lead and Develop a Team:
o Supervise and mentor a team of practitioners to provide a holistic domestic violence response to clients.
o Collaborate with colleagues to achieve organizational and client goals.
* Key Responsibilities:
o Provide high-quality support services to clients, including case management, counseling, and advocacy.
o Develop and maintain effective relationships with external agencies and stakeholders.
o Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to domestic family and sexual violence.
Requirements:
* Essential Skills and Qualifications:
o Highly developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, coach, and develop a team.
o Proven ability to anticipate and resolve problems.
o Awareness and understanding of issues affecting women and children experiencing domestic or family violence and homelessness.
o High-level written and spoken communication skills, including liaison with government and non-government agencies.
* Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
o Experience working in a domestic family/sexual violence setting.
o Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies.
o Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
