**Position Information**:
Chifley College Mount Druitt is a Year 7-10 campus with a current enrolment of 640 students. Our student body is comprised of 24% Aboriginal students, 46% LBOTE (language background other than English), and 85% low socio-economics. The campus is part of the Chifley College collegiate, which provides a wide array of academic and vocational courses, extra curricula activities, enrichment programs and innovative student and teacher programs.

**Selection Criteria**:
- Approval to teach secondary (ESS) English as a second language or currently completing an approved post graduate qualification for teaching English as a second language secondary as recognised by the NSW Department of Education
- Capacity for effective teaching, assessment and feedback to meet the academic and well-being needs of a diverse student body, including support for English as a second Language students students to achieve language competence and learning outcomes.
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, parents/caregivers, community and stakeholders.
- Capacity to support students from diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, Pasifika students and students from refugee backgrounds.
**Conditions**:
If applicable engagement will be temporary until successful completion of the approved post graduate qualification for
teaching English as a second language secondary (whichever is applicable to the advertised position) as recognised by the NSW Department of Education, which must be completed within 12 months.
