About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this Management Accountant role partners closely with operations and production to support multiple profit centres. The role is hands-on across month-end, management reporting and commercial analysis, with exposure to forecasting and performance improvement initiatives.
This position will suit a commercially minded profressional who enjoys turning data into insight and working closely with non-finance stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
* End-to-end month-end accounting for assigned profit and cost centres
* Preparation and analysis of monthly management and profitability reports
* Balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, journals and intercompany accounting
* Sales, margin and performance analysis across business units
* Forecasting volumes and supporting budgeting processes
* Analysis of labour costs, production efficiency and yield performance
* Partnering with operational leaders to drive business improvements
* Supporting audit, compliance, levies and statutory reporting requirements
* Identifying and implementing process and systems improvements
* Ad-hoc commercial analysis and ROI modelling
The Ideal Candidate
You will be a commercially minded Management Accountant or Analyst who thrives in fast-paced, operationally complex environments.
You will bring:
* 4+ years' experience in Management Accounting, Analysis or Commercial Finance
* CA or CPA qualification
* Industry experience within FMCG, distribution, produce, manufacturing or agribusiness
* Strong exposure to full P&L ownership and business unit reporting
* Advanced Excel skills and strong financial modelling capability
* Confident communication style with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders
* A proactive, analytical mindset with a continuous improvement focus
