Job Description:
Are you seeking a challenging opportunity to utilize your analytical skills in a dynamic banking environment? This Analyst position offers the chance to work closely with senior management in our credit analyst team, ensuring the portfolio of clients is managed consistently with our operation and strategic framework.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing credit & portfolio related requests, including periodic review of borrower rating and preparation of credit applications through communication with relationship managers and credit officers in Japan. Additionally, they will manage credit-linked administrative tasks, such as maintenance of system records, covenant checks, documentation, and various report requests, by smooth communication between relevant parties.

* Generate historical and forward-looking financial and industry analysis through the credit process
* Support the relationship managers for preparation of pitches and proposals
In this role, you will be expected to develop your credit and sector analytical skills, understanding of banking products, contributing to the team and relationship managers, and becoming able to manage the credit process independently.
Strong Excel spreadsheet skills, research and analytical skills are essential for success in this position. A good understanding of corporate banking products is advantageous but not essential. You'll have a high level of personal responsibility and self-discipline, together with good communication skills and team spirit.
A Bachelor's Degree in Banking, Commerce, Finance or an Accounting-related discipline is required. Accounting qualifications are highly regarded.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience working in a financial institution, credit agency, accounting firm, consultancy or equivalent (approx. 2 years)
* Strong Excel spreadsheet skills
* Research and analytical skills
* Good understanding of corporate banking products (advantageous but not essential)
* Bachelor's Degree in Banking, Commerce, Finance or an Accounting-related discipline
* Accounting qualifications (highly regarded)
