What you'll be doing
NextSense, formerly Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children (RIDBC), is a not-for-profit organisation supporting people who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind or have low vision across Australia. NextSense works with children, adults and their families to educate and create an individual program of care that meets their unique needs. As a registered NDIS provider, NextSense work with clients to achieve their own goals and potential.
The Audiologist is primarily responsible for providing high quality, client/family-centred audiological support that assists individuals with hearing loss to achieve their goals and aspirations through implantable hearing devices. The Audiologist works collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to implement best practice services for clients to achieve their outcomes and actively works as a member of a collegial and professional team in the daily running and delivery of services.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
Master's degree in clinical audiology or equivalent in Audiology and full membership of the Audiological Society of Australia.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in provision of audiology services and demonstrated sound clinical skills and knowledge with paediatric and adult audiological experience.
Significant postgraduate experience together with experience in audiological assessment, including speech perception testing and a working knowledge of current electrophysiological tests
Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution, and proven success in multidisciplinary team settings.
