About the Role
As a Therapy Assistant, you will deliver Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology & Physiotherapy programs to clients under instruction and guidance of a qualified Allied Health Professional. These therapy programs will include individual and group sessions for clients, in an individual and family-centered model of practice.
Main Responsibilities
* Support clients and their families to achieve therapy goals with delivery of therapy programs.
* Further experience in the disability sector, receiving ongoing support from Allied Health Professionals.
* Be a champion for customers, supporting them to achieve goals and independence.
Key Requirements
* Allied Health students studying an allied health degree (e.g. SP, OT, DT, PT) living locally, perhaps studying externally - or;
* Certificate IV in Allied Health - or;
* Fully qualified and/or experienced Allied Health Assistant (min Cert III).
* Hold valid Working With Children Check (NSW & VIC) and NDIS Worker Screening clearance.
* Complete the NDIS Worker Orientation Module training.
* Current First Aid and CPR.
* Current driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
* Well-developed interpersonal skills and understanding of professional boundaries and scope of practice.
