About the work unit
The Central Sterilising Department (CSD) at Townsville University Hospital operates 24/7, ensuring the safe decontamination and sterilisation of over 1.5 million medical instruments annually. With 40 specially trained nurses, CSD supports operating theatres, oral health, wards, and external clients, playing a vital role in patient safety.

Competitive salary and benefits
Remuneration is $4138.10–$ per fortnight (Nurse Grade 6 Band 1).

About your opportunity
This permanent full-time Clinical Nurse role provides leadership, education, and advanced clinical support within the Central Sterilising Department. You will ensure compliance with national standards and contribute to safe patient outcomes.
Requirements
* Bachelor of Nursing and current AHPRA registration
* Certificate III in Sterilisation Services (or willingness to complete within 12 months)
* Evidence of vaccination against VPDs and TB screening
* Experience in a Central Sterilising Department (highly desirable)
* Ability to work all shifts as per roster
