About the role
The pharmacy assistant role would suit individuals who are organised, have an attention to detail and can work independently. The Bathurst Hospital Pharmacy department is part of the Western NSW Local Health District pharmacy service. We are a small team made up of experienced pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. The Bathurst Hospital Pharmacy works with all areas of the hospital, other facilities and outpatients to facilitate the safe, effective and cost effective supply and use of medications. The pharmacy assistant facilitates the distribution, manufacturing and dispensing of pharmaceuticals within the Bathurst Hospital under the supervision of a registered pharmacist and/or pharmacy technician. There are opportunities for the pharmacy assistant to undertake internal and external training and develop further skills in hospital pharmacy services.
