Role Description
This is a
full-time, remote position
for a
Senior Software Engineer (Python / AI / Cloud)
. You will work closely with our CTO as part of the early engineering team, designing and building backend systems that power our data workflows, AI models, and large-scale property intelligence engine.
Your work will include:
* Designing and developing scalable backend services and microservices
* Integrating LLMs and AI-driven workflows (OpenAI, Google AI, locally deployed GPU models)
* Building and maintaining APIs, data models, and distributed systems
* Managing and optimising cloud infrastructure across
AWS
(and Google Cloud as required)
* Working with large property datasets (structured, unstructured, geospatial)
* Ensuring system performance, reliability, observability, and cost efficiency
* Writing clean, maintainable, well-tested code
* Collaborating cross-functionally with founders, product, data, and front-end teams
* Participating in architecture decisions, peer reviews, and continuous improvement

, open to candidates across APAC regions that offer effective overlap with
Sydney (AEST/AEDT)
hours.

A minimum of
4–6 hours of working-hour overlap
with Sydney is required for real-time collaboration with our CTO and engineering team.
Qualifications
* Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, system design)
* Expertise in
Python
and backend web development (FastAPI/Flask, asyncio, microservices)
* Proven experience building scalable, cloud-native software solutions
* Proficiency in
Object-Oriented Programming
and clean coding practices
* Hands-on experience with
AWS
(Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, EventBridge) or comparable cloud platforms
* Exposure to AI-driven applications, LLMs, embeddings, or model deployment (desirable)
* Ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed, cross-functional team
* Experience in proptech or data-heavy industries is an advantage
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
