A successful, fast growing local bakery, known for its handcrafted pies, cakes and pastries is seeking a talented Pastry Chef/Pastry Cook to join our busy team in Geelong. Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, pies, and sweet goods to high standards
- Prepare and cook fillings adhering to carefully structured recipes
- Carry out all duties in a clean, hygienic manner in accordance with Food Protected Standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment
- Monitor and rotate stock and ingredient levels to ensure production schedules are maintained and product quality is optimised
- Work collaboratively with a tight-knit team to meet daily production targets
Qualifications
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or Baking (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2–3 years predominantly in a pastry or bakery role
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work early mornings and weekends
- A genuine passion for pastry and pride in your craft
