Administration Officer – Haematology
Temporary Part-Time (20hpw) – Administration Officer Level 3 Year 1-2 at Calvary Mater Newcastle. The role supports the Haematology Unit which manages bone marrow malignancies including acute leukaemia, chronic leukaemia, multiple myeloma and lymphoma, as well as the investigation of bone marrow failure states. The unit includes a 16-bed inpatient ward (Ward 5C), a Haematology Day Ward (Ward 5D) and outpatient clinics.
Responsibilities
Process billing and referrals.
Enter dictaphone typing of patient letters.
Schedule appointments and triage all Haematology patients.
Perform high-quality reception duties and secretarial support.
Assist in the management of inpatient, day ward and outpatient clinic activities.
Qualifications & Selection Criteria
Demonstrated strong competence in administrative and general office procedures.
Excellent organisational skills and critical-thinking ability.
