The Opportunity
The Micro Space Merchandiser brings the BIG W Strategy to life by partnering with various stakeholders building space category strategies & delivering exceptional merchandising though planograms, improving our customers shopping experience & making things simpler for stores improving Customer Advocacy, Sales, EBIT, and Stock Availability. The Micro Space Merchandiser will play a key critical role as we embark on an exciting journey of transformation within the Space team, introducing new capabilities and data driven innovation to achieve our mission of delivering excellence in merchandising.
Your core responsibilities will include:
4. Leading the merchandising vision and multi-year strategy for categories alongside stakeholders
5. Identification of store level opportunities with a focus on improving our store team experience and operational efficiencies in our complex category portfolio
6. Providing key analysis for strategic projects and categories that aims to improve customer shopping experience and store operational productivity within the merchandise guidelines
7. Creation of insights and data, demonstrating strong analytical rigour that inform and influence the current merchandise opportunities within a commercial strategy through product merchandising
8. Leading the conversation and building trust through insight and data to enable, influence and unlock commercial opportunities
9. Alongside relevant stakeholders, understanding and implementing scalable merchandise solutions for unique formats through the review process
10. Supporting all queries in relation to merchandising in a timely manner
11. Participate & assist in a cross functional Space & Range post implementation reviews to drive continuous improvement
12. Execute category strategy plans as well as planograms and ranging in-line with CDS review timelines
13. Ensuring that back-end information related to planogram compliance such as product measurements, images, distribution reports, new and deleted reporting, are completed through the review process
14. Deliver customer centric, commercially and operationally efficient Planograms
15. Proactively taking the lead on initiating information gathering and strategic conversations. Formulate and inform opportunities in regards to Merchandising, which will support the commercial teams range decisions
