**About The Job**
Terra Mining is currently seeking an experienced and aspirational Trainer to assist with our onsite training requirements on our upcoming Extension Hill project in the Mid-West region within Western Australia. Working as part of our continually expanding safety team, this role will be responsible for helping us efficiently onboard new operators, maintain verifications of competency, progress and diversify our talent pool and up-skill existing staff.

This position is preferably suited to a DIDO, however, FIFO (ex-Perth) may be considered.
- Liaise with the Mining Superintendents, Coordinators and Supervisors for the identification and fulfilment of operator training as required
- Review performance and undertake needs assessments of equipment/personnel
- Implement training in line with business needs
- Ensure technical training of the Mining department is implemented as planned and directed
- Maintain a training matrix for personnel
- Assist with ensuring training materials are developed and maintained in line with required standards
- Liaise with site superintendents to ensure adequately skilled operators are available across all shifts
- Support production personnel with all training needs
- Partner with the Training Coordinator in the development of training budgets.
**Job Requirements**:
**About You**
A mining professional from an operator background with recent, relevant experience within Quality, Safety or Training - you will be a driven, competent and consummate professional who knows the score when it comes to cracking on with it and getting the job done. You'll be ambitious yet pragmatic and personable - keen to develop into a Co-ordinator or Manager role with broader responsibilities over time.
You'll possess the following as standard;
- Five years of mining experience, preferably operating heavy machinery
- CAT and Liebherr operator experience is considered an advantage
- Relevant operator tickets
- Simulator experience is preferable
- Cert IV in Training and Assessing (TAE40116)
- A current Australian issued Driver's Licence
- Basic computer literacy, including MS Office
- A positive team-orientated work ethic with strong leadership qualities
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence to perform every task to a high safety standard, in compliance with our OH&S processes and procedures
- Ability to pass a full pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
- Current national police clearance, issued within the last twelve months.
You'll have a no-fuss work ethic, no dramas attitude and be able to readily identify efficiencies. You'll know when to speak up and when to have your head down taking care of business. You'll understand that training, safety and production go hand in hand - requiring focus, preparation, skill and awareness.
