The position involves the end-to-end fabrication of custom metal products, requiring a high level of technical skill, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver work in line with engineering specifications and Australian Standards.

Benefits Benefits Secure, full-time position with a reputable and growing fabrication company Exposure to a diverse portfolio of custom residential and commercial projects Opportunity to work with modern equipment and advanced fabrication techniques Supportive team environment focused on quality and continuous improvement Competitive salary package aligned with skills and experience Task & responsibilities Key Responsibilities Analyse and interpret detailed engineering drawings, fabrication plans, and job specifications to determine materials, dimensions, and production methods for custom metalwork Manufacture and assemble bespoke stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel products including balustrades, handrails, benchtops, and architectural components Set up, adjust, and operate fabrication equipment such as CNC press brakes, guillotines, and pipe bending machines to achieve precise forming and shaping outcomes Execute high-quality TIG and MIG welding, ensuring strong, clean, and visually consistent welds suitable for both structural and architectural applications Perform advanced finishing processes including grinding, linishing, and polishing to meet specified surface finishes and aesthetic standards Accurately measure, mark, cut, and prepare materials to optimise usage and maintain strict dimensional tolerances Conduct trial fitting and alignment of fabricated components prior to final assembly or installation Assist with on-site installation of fabricated products, ensuring correct positioning, structural integrity, and compliance with project specifications Inspect completed work against drawings and quality benchmarks, identifying and rectifying defects or inconsistencies Maintain workshop tools and machinery in a safe and operational condition, adhering to preventative maintenance practices Apply strict adherence to workplace health and safety policies, including safe handling of materials, welding equipment, and machinery Collaborate effectively with supervisors, designers, and team members to ensure timely delivery of projects and continuous improvement in fabrication processes Perform precision metal forming using CNC press brakes, including tool selection, machine setup, angle calibration, and adjustment to achieve accurate bends and consistent production outcomes Qualification & experience Skills and Requirements AQF Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or equivalent qualification Minimum 1 year of relevant industry experience as a Metal Fabricator Demonstrated expertise in TIG and MIG welding, particularly with stainless steel and aluminium Strong ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and specifications Experience operating CNC fabrication equipment and general workshop machinery High level of precision, attention to detail, and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment About Company
