The Opportunity
We are looking for a Barn Technician to join us at our progressive and innovative dairy farm at Coomboona Farms in Coomboona, VIC.
This opportunity is for a self-motivated and hardworking team player to operate tractors, skid steers and various attachments to maintain the bedding in the barns that house our dairy cows. You will also be heavily involved in lane flushing and scraping, cleaning feed from bunks prior to fresh feed drop and cleaning water troughs to ensure our cows have fresh water.
This role is integral to the health and wellbeing of our cows.

In addition, AFMH operates Ladysmith Farms a young stock operation near Wagga Wagga, NSW and extensive cropping land in Torrumbarry, VIC.
Key accountabilities include:
Operating small farming machinery such as tractors, skid steers, forklifts and attachments
· Operating machinery safely and ensuring they are well maintained at all times
· Working to schedules and guidelines
· Being apart of a team and working well with others
The successful applicant will possess:
A strong work ethic with good time management skills
Experience with small machinery
Good eye for detail
Good communication skills with a strong team spirit and a commitment to attendance and punctuality
Demonstrated ability to adhere to protocols and safety standards.
A current driver’s license with access to own transport
Q Fever immunity, or must be willing to undertake a Q Fever test and immunisation
