 
        
        Kokoda Industries Workshop Assistant -exciting new role
Kokoda Industries is a commercial fabrication operation as part of HPA Incorporated.
As a Workshop Assistant you will use your passion and skills in working with wood and or metal be person-centred and passionate about working with people with disability to help them achieve their goals in ways that are meaningful to them. You assist in building capacity and enable them to access and enjoy the benefits of employment, you’re their mentor, and coach - you make a real difference, every day.
As this is a new program for Kokoda, the role will be casual initially then leading to full time after 6 months.
Duties
- Carpentry and General Maintenance: Carry out general carpentry tasks and maintenance with a focus on detail.
- Client Communication: Liaise with office staff, clients to ensure timely and effective communication.
- Documentation: Complete required paperwork for each job, ensuring all tasks and outcomes are properly recorded.
- Other Duties: Minor tasks in welding/metal fabrication, plastering, tiling, and painting may be required, though not essential

- Excellent customer communication skills
Essential Criteria
- Cert III in in a relevant tertiary certificate or 3 years Industry knowledge
- C Class drivers licence
- Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service.
- Able to work alongside and mentor and or supervise people with disability.
- Working with Children Ochre Card.
- National Police Clearance.
- NDIS Worker Screening
- NDIS Worker Orientation Certificate
- First Aid Certificate with CPR
Desired Criteria
- Current Fork lift Licence
- White Card
