THE CORRUPTION AND CRIME COMMISSION

The Corruption and Crime Commission (CCC) strengthens the integrity of the WA public sector by deterring, detecting and preventing misconduct involving public officers and WA Police. We also make our community safer from organised crime by removing the financial incentive for criminal activity. The Commission achieves its purpose through monitoring, investigation, reporting and referral.

THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT

The Commission’s Operations Directorate is an exciting and high-impact environment. Our Operational Support team is made up of experienced professionals who apply specialist skills to tackle complex and systemic cases of responsible misconduct, unexplained wealth, and criminal benefits.

We value collaboration, curiosity, diversity of thought and qualified integrity. Our culture encourages staff to support one another and occasionally take on broader responsibilities to grow their experience and contribution.

THE OPPORTUNITIES

We are seeking to establish a pool of Digital Forensics specialists to fill roles at both:

- Principal Electronic Discovery and Digital Forensics (Level 7)

Both positions sit within the Electronic Collections Unit of the Operations Directorate.

- The Digital Forensics Specialist (Level 6) is a practitioner role responsible for identifying, acquiring, preserving and analysing digital evidence to support investigations, and contributing to the development of the Commission’s forensic capability.
- The Principal Electronic Discovery and Digital Forensics (Level 7) is a senior role that provides expert advice, manages systems and capability development, supervises staff, and leads research and engagement across the Commission and with external partners. A special allowance of up to $10,000 may be offered to the right candidate for the Principal role based on unique skills and experience in digital forensics.

The Commission is committed to professional growth and work-life balance for all employees. We offer structured training, specialist courses, mentoring and leadership development, along with opportunities to engage with emerging technologies and industry partners. Our learning culture is collaborative and self-driven, equipping staff with the skills to succeed now and into the future.

We value diversity of thinking and welcome applications from women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disability, and those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or industry certifications (e.g. e-discovery, digital forensics, computer science, information technology, ethical hacking, security engineering, offensive security, software development, scripting, data science, big data, or database programming/analysis.).
- Technical knowledge and skills in digital forensics/e-discovery, including evidence acquisition, preservation, analysis and reporting.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Professional integrity, resilience and initiative.
- (For Level 7) Proven leadership experience in developing technical teams and managing forensic capability.

- Availability to work outside of normal hours as required.

Key position information is detailed within the attached job description forms (Level 6 and Level 7), and the Commission will assess all aspects of JDF, including the Capability and Leadership Framework, during the selection process.
