Role Description
This is a full‐time on‐site role for a Social Worker located in Adelaide, SA. The Social Worker will be responsible for providing compassionate and professional assistance to families of veterans, conducting assessments to identify needs, and developing tailored support plans. The role involves coordinating resources, delivering counseling services, and advocating on behalf of clients. Additionally, the Social Worker will engage with community networks to ensure families receive comprehensive support.
Qualifications
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and counseling skills to effectively support individuals and families.
* Ability to conduct comprehensive needs assessments, develop support plans, and deliver client‐focused assistance.
* Knowledge of community resources, advocacy strategies, and experience in referral processes.
* Proven organizational skills, time management, and ability to handle multiple caseloads efficiently.
* Understanding of the challenges faced by veteran families and a commitment to supporting their well‐being.
* Bachelor's degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification, with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
* Experience in case management or a similar supportive role is preferred.
* Flexibility, empathy, and a genuine commitment to making a positive impact in the community.
