A Childcare Cook is required to plan and prepare menus for children in consultation with the Service Manager. Menus must be nutritional, well-balanced, and suited to dietary needs of the children.
* Prepares a variety of food items for cooking using broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment.
* Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area.
* Handles, stores, labels, and rotates all products properly according to applicable laws.
* Knows and consistently complies with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules.
The ideal candidate will have Food Handling Certificate and Food Supervisor Certificate, Previous experience as a Childcare Cook, Certificate III in Cookery, Current & Valid Working with Children Check, First Aid and CPR certificates including Asthma and Anaphylaxis training.
