OverviewAdministration Assistant (Part time – 1 Day per Week) - Roadmarking Industry Association of Australia (RIAA) is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Administration Assistant with bookkeeping experience to join our small, dedicated team.
This is a part-time role, working one day per week, with potential for additional hours during peak periods (e.g., conference planning).
About the RoleReporting to the General Manager, you will provide administrative and bookkeeping support to ensure the smooth operation of the Association.
This varied and dynamic role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.Key ResponsibilitiesOrganise branch meetings and prepare briefing papers, reports, and presentations.Assist with marketing initiatives, including the Roadmarker Magazine, conference booklets, diaries, and planners.Liaise with members, potential sponsors, and suppliers (designers, printers, distributors).
Maintain and update member databases, conduct mail merges, and manage website content.Organise travel arrangements and provide executive support to the General Manager and Directors.Assist in the coordination of biennial conferences (logistics, registrations, sponsorships, delegate packs, and post-event reporting).
Handle incoming calls, member enquiries, and correspondence.Manage payroll administration, including superannuation, PAYG, and account reconciliations.Oversee financial administration, bank reconciliations, credit card processing, accounts, invoicing, and producing monthly financial reports.Maintain office supplies and purchasing records.About YouPrevious experience in administration and bookkeeping is essential.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, or similar).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders.Highly organised, proactive, and capable of working independently.Experience in event planning, marketing coordination, or membership-based organisations will be highly regarded.What We OfferFlexible, one-day-per-week position (with flexibility around conference/events).
