Two Participant Support Officers for a 12-month government contract

Hays has partnered with a Federal agency based in Toowoomba responsible for supporting hundreds of thousands of Australians with significant and permanent disability and their families and carers.
**Your new role**
Your new role will be working as part of the National Delivery team - responsible for engaging with participants and managing participant plans and supports. This is a team membership position and is responsible for setting priorities and managing workflow for their role. The position will undertake procedural, clerical, administrative support and operational tasks including some basic research and analysis activities.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Managing and resolving participant matter by actioning planning tasks as per the relevant Act.
- Providing counter/reception support for the local office including participant enquiries in the self-help kiosks and online support portal.
- Resolving customer enquiries, providing information and/or referring customers to appropriate government or community services.
- Undertake research and investigation activities and preparing reports and correspondence.
- Coordinating appointments and ensuring facilities are accessible for participants.
- Undertaking a range of data entry activities ensuring follow up is completed.

- Excellent customer service, empathy, and objection handling skills
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a high-performing team
- Excellent time management and organisation
