Our Queensland Government client is seeking an **Information Management (IM) Delivery Lead** who will be responsible for leading the successful delivery of complex, cross-functional IM scopes of work. The role requires an individual with excellent skills and experience in management and delivery of IM solutions. The IM Delivery Lead is accountable for the successful delivery of a suite of IM initiatives from initiation to close and must have a strong understanding of the IM domain. The IM Delivery Lead will implement recommendations, developing an implementation schedule, and delivering 'quick-win' activities.
This is an initial 6-month contract starting ASAP with potential to extend, based in Albion in Inner-North Brisbane.
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead the delivery of multiple information management initiatives ensuring scope, budget, quality and timeline are met.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, define scopes of work and develop delivery plans.
- Develop and maintain high-quality documentation, including delivery plans, schedules, status reports, and evaluations in accordance with organisational requirements.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, and quality assurance specialists, to ensure successful delivery of initiatives.
- Monitor and manage delivery risks and issues, ensuring they are escalated with options for resolution, and resolved in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including business sponsors and IT teams.
- Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and management to communicate progress, successes, and highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Manage and prepare complex briefs, reports and submissions and respond to a range of correspondence and enquiries, in accordance with departmental requirements.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate delivery progress, making recommendations for improvement where necessary and ensure lessons learned are documented and shared with relevant stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain strong and positive relationships by communicating, consulting, and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders including cross-agency representatives, consultants, and contractors, to ensure delivery success.
- Proactively promote an effective working culture by capturing and sharing knowledge and supporting common expectations.
- Engage, manage, coordinate, and communicate with stakeholders responsible for delivery of key milestones and deliverables in accordance with agreed scopes of work.
- Effectively communicate, consult, and negotiate with other public sector agencies, private sector bodies, customers, and other key stakeholders.
- Regularly communicate and report with the project leadership and other stakeholders as per schedule or as required.
**Skills and experience required**:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience leading business and/or ICT projects, preferably with a focus on Information Management projects within a government organisation.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience in producing reports, briefing material and presentations to suit a variety of audiences.
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and lead cross-functional teams, and communicate effectively with end-users and IT employees at all levels of the organisation.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with an ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
