We are a global manufacturer of rail products near Parramatta. We are looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join our Finance team. You will report to the Payroll Manager and your duties include:
- Assist in the end to end running monthly/weekly payrolls and multiple cycles for Australia & New Zealand;- Masterfile changes; calculation of leave entitlements; deductions; change of banking details; etc;- Assist with the coordination of payment of PAYG, superannuation and workers' compensation;- Processing various types of termination payments;- Interpretation of NES and Awards;- Distribution of payroll payments to third party vendors (i.e. Superannuation Funds & ATO);- Preparation of reports, monthly reconciliation and general ledger activities;- Answer employee queries; and- Conduct periodic reviews to ensure compliance with any changes to regulatory requirements.
Skills and Experience- Minimum 3 years' payroll experience in a large organization;- Exposure to Sage Micropay (Meridian) and time & attendance systems is desirable;- Understanding of employment and superannuation legislation;- High level of attention to detail and time management skills;- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment;- Excellent communication skills; and- Intermediate Excel skills.
