Due to continued company growth and a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, Fairbrother is seeking an experienced Sub Foreman to join our Devonport construction team.

About the Role
As a Sub Foreman, you will support the Foreman and Site Manager in the day-to-day coordination and delivery of construction projects. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines trade expertise with site supervision, labour coordination, and safety leadership.
You will assist with labour planning, task allocation, site inductions, subcontractor coordination, and quality assurance, while also completing allocated trade works. In the absence of the Foreman or Site Manager, you may be delegated responsibility for the site.

We are seeking someone with:
* Commercial construction experience, typically 6+ years as a qualified carpenter.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and influence others.
* Excellent planning, organisation, and time management skills.
* A proactive and adaptable approach, able to work under pressure.
* Strong communication skills across all levels.
* A collaborative and approachable leadership style.
* The ability to contribute to construction programs and site delivery.
* An unwavering focus on safety, quality, and environmental standards.
* Confidence using technology and digital systems (e.g. HammerTech).
