About This Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our team in Nambour. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling and implementing maintenance strategies based on historical information and statutory requirements to ensure that equipment is maintained in the most cost‐effective manner. The performance of our operation relies heavily on a well‐managed maintenance program. The role of the maintenance planner is therefore pivotal to the success of plant maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing plant maintenance tasks, schedules and work instructions for all assets.
* Tracking plant maintenance schedules and work orders for all assets.
* Preparing maintenance department performance KPIs.
* Identifying trends and opportunities to improve asset reliability by analysis of manufacturing and engineering performance data.
* Planning and scheduling all day‐to‐day maintenance activities and resources utilizing SAP.
* Maintaining the requirements of the SAP Plant Maintenance module and continuously improving the SAP PM module.
* Coordinating with production, maintenance fitters, electricians and external contractors to ensure all resources are effectively utilised during routine and shutdown maintenance.
* Ensuring all documentation related to asset management is well organised and easily retrievable.
* Contractor supervision and management.
* Assist the maintenance manager with capital projects and other departmental duties, as required.
* Assist the maintenance manager in stores management.
About You
* Tertiary or trade qualified (ideally mechanical or electrical trades).
* Experience in reliability‐focused maintenance in a manufacturing or process plant environment.
* Knowledge of maintenance planning principles and procedures; and computerised maintenance planning systems is essential.
* Knowledge and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
* Demonstrated ability to develop and implement improvement initiatives.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to build effective relations with internal and external stakeholders.
* Knowledge of Excel is mandatory.
* Knowledge of SAP is highly desirable but not essential.
