Senior Pharmacist Role Overview
This position presents an exceptional opportunity to join a regional hospital team and provide comprehensive pharmacy services. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical expertise and excellent communication skills.
The role involves overseeing the delivery of pharmacy services at the Stawell campus, with rotational responsibilities to the Horsham campus as required. You will work closely with a dedicated team of pharmacy technicians and contribute to extending and implementing programs such as Partnered Pharmacist Medication Charting (PPMC).
This is a permanent full-time position, offering 40 hours per week including a monthly ADO. Eligible candidates may receive tailored visa support and relocation incentives.
Key Responsibilities
* Provision of clinical pharmacy services to the Simpson acute inpatient ward and Medication Safety improvements
* Involvement in provision of oncology pharmacy services in collaboration with Ballarat and Horsham cancer care centres
* Management of PBS claiming, particularly Efficient Funding of Chemotherapy programs
Requirements
* A current AHPRA registration as a pharmacist
* Possession of a postgraduate qualification or working towards one is desired
* A full Australian Drivers Licence
* Experience in delivering clinical pharmacy services
* Experience in the hospital pharmacy setting – operational management of a hospital pharmacy is an advantage
