**The Opportunity**
We have an opportunity for an Economic Analyst to be part of our Industry Strategy & Partnerships Division within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.
The Economic Analyst is part of the Industry Partnerships & Intelligence team within the Industry, Strategy and Partnerships Division. The position is responsible for providing data analysis services which contributes to the achievement of PIRSA economic development policy and strategies that influence primary industries in becoming internationally competitive.
Key functions of the role include working across PIRSA to develop and maintain the Food and Wine Scorecard, and data capturing and analysis to directly measure the contribution of food and wine industries to the South Australian economy.

**Special Conditions** 
- Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National Police Check (NPC) prior to being made an offer of employment.

**Requirements**:
- Possession of a current driver's license and willingness to drive. 
- Out of hours work and inter / intrastate travel may be required. 
- You acknowledge your work, health and safety obligations and our expectations. 
- In-depth knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and the Australian Bureau of Statistics
**Essential**: An appropriate tertiary level qualification in data science, economics, mathematical sciences, commerce or equivalent.
**Remuneration**
ASO5 - $85,790 min - $95,413 max per annum, plus superannuation
