Overview
We are looking for qualified chefs for our busy kitchen at The Boat Shed Restaurant, Darling Point Marine Agents Pty Ltd. We are a well established a-la-carte restaurant perched on the edge of the Maroochy River at Cotton Tree on the Sunshine Coast, renowned for great food, service and view.
Role
* Seeking a qualified chef on full time basis. This is a hands-on role where you'll be maintaining kitchen standard, delivering consistency during service, and working as part of a motivated and supportive team.
* A trade qualified experienced chef
* Minimum 2 years experience as qualified chef
* Proficient cooking ability in all sections of the kitchen - pans, grill, larder, fryers, desserts
* Preparation of proteins, salads, sauces for service
* Ability to work in a quick paced environment
* Receiving of deliveries and checking quality and quantities are correct
* Assist in menu planning, ordering and quality of dishes are maintained
* Follow all food health and safety regulations
* Plating and presenting meals as per chef and managements direction
* Food design for specials
* Availability over weekends and evenings a must
* Direct junior staff

Salary and Benefits
Salary in the range of $34 - $49 per hour plus superannuation to commensurate with skills and experience. Pay: $34.00 – $49.00 per hour.
