About the Role
Electorate Officers play an important role in providing services to the Victorian community. Reporting to the Member of Parliament that nominates you, your work will require a high degree of trust and integrity. Confidentiality is also a key requirement when interacting with constituents and visitors to the office or in the community.
This position has a strong communication focus and is ideal for a proactive communication professional who enjoys working across media, content creation and community engagement in a fast-paced environment.
Based in the Member of Parliament's electorate office in Geelong, you will be responsible for delivering a broad range of communication activities that support the members' engagement with the community and key stakeholders.
1. Develop, draft, and deliver a range of electorate communications to support the office of Ella George MP, including communication strategy, social media content, newsletters, media materials and other digital communications.
2. Manage digital and direct communications to constituents.
3. Support media engagement activities, including drafting media releases, speeches and other written materials for a range of audiences.
4. Create engaging visual and written content including basic graphic design and multimedia content for digital platforms.
5. Provide professional and timely assistance to constituents and stakeholders as required.
6. Act as a first point of or on 2***.
