As an Experienced Veterinary Nurse, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, monitoring hospitalised patients, administering treatments and medications, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for recovery.
You will also assist veterinarians during consultations, take patient histories, prepare animals for exams, and educate clients about treatment options and aftercare.
Furthermore, you will prepare surgical suites, assist with anaesthesia and monitoring, support during surgeries, and provide post-operative care.
To succeed in this role, you should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in veterinary nursing, with exposure to multiple areas (reception, hospital care, consulting, and surgery).
Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing is preferred, but not required.
You should have strong knowledge of veterinary procedures and excellent animal care skills.
A compassionate, professional, and adaptable attitude with a genuine passion for working with animals is essential.
Flexibility is key in this role, with availability for evening and weekend shifts as needed.
