Priest Bros. Orchards Pty Ltd., a fourth-generation family-owned agricultural company in Harcourt North and Pakenham, Victoria, Australia, founded in 1880 and dedicated to the cultivation and production of high-quality apples, is seeking a qualified full-time Mobile Plant Operator. The position offers a salary of $76,515 AUD per year plus superannuation. The Mobile Plant Operator will be responsible for the following tasks:
* Prepare and set up farm machinery and equipment for daily tasks in the orchard areas.
* Operate tractor-drawn and self-propelled machinery to till soil, apply fertilizers, spray crops, and assist with orchard operations, including apple harvesting activities.
* Adjust machine settings, such as speed, height, and implement depth, to accommodate different soil conditions and crop needs.
* Keep machinery in good working condition by cleaning, checking fluid levels, and performing minor maintenance and repairs.
* Accurately complete work records and equipment log to track usage and maintenance.
The Mobile Plant Operator is required to have the following qualifications and experience:
* A relevant AQF Certificate II or equivalent and at least 1 year of relevant experience (at least 20 hours per week); OR
* At least 2 years of relevant experience (at least 10 hours per week) AND at least 2 years post-qualification experience.
