About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivatedInformation Management Officerto join their team.
This role is responsible for delivering accurate, efficient, and customer-focused records, information, and archival management services.
You will play a key part in supporting staff, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, and promoting a digital-first environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage appraisal, classification, registration, and distribution of physical and digital mail in the EDRMS.
Scan and quality-check records, applying correct metadata.
Distribute internal mail and prepare outbound correspondence.
Undertake appraisal and sentencing of records in line with PROV Retention and Disposal Authorities.
Maintain operational statistics and support process improvements.
Assist staff with information management queries and ensure compliance with Council policies.
Required Skills & Experience
Post-secondary qualifications or relevant experience in records/information management.
Knowledge and experience using anEDRMSand Microsoft Office.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to prioritise tasks, work independently, and adapt to changing requirements.
Understanding of local government structures, records management principles, and the Public Records Act ****.
Current valid Victorian driver's licence.
