A role focused on enriching lives, fostering joy and connection with residents, and supporting their interests within the care home and beyond.ResponsibilitiesBe the fun facilitator: help residents explore interests through activities such as art classes, gardening, day trips, and social events.Social connection: encourage friendly interactions and foster belonging through activities like games, conversations, and social gatherings.Daily living support: assist with meals, outings, and provide emotional support to residents, including those with cognitive impairment or mental health needs.Resident voice: gather feedback through surveys and family conferences to ensure activities meet residents' needs.Team collaboration: work with the Lifestyle Coordinator and care team to plan activities, document progress, and raise concerns as needed.Hygiene and safety: follow infection control protocols and maintain a tidy environment.Meal assistance: support plating and serving meals and monitor resident preferences in line with food safety standards.Qualifications and attributesA heart of gold: passion for enriching lives.Can-do spirit: flexible, adaptable, and ready for challenges.Creative spark: ideas to make each day engaging.Excellent communication: build trust with residents and colleagues.Team player: collaborate effectively with a positive attitude.Experience: previous caring experience for elders in an aged care or community setting is essential.First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one.Australian driver's licence preferable.Ready to applyTo apply, click Apply to access the online application process.
