Tung Ventures Pty Ltd We are seeking a skilled chef to join our team at Bani's Restaurant & Bar in Cowes. Located at 10 Thompson Ave, Cowes, our Restaurant is a well-established eating place in Cowes. We take pride in providing exceptional food and service to our customers.
We would prefer applicants with a minimum of two years of experience in Greek Cuisine in our fast-paced kitchen, showcasing their skills and creativity. Requirements: Trade Qualification of Certificate III OR IV in Commercial Cookery or higher Proven experience as a Chef (minimum 2 years preferred), experience in a similar cuisine(Greek) is preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple orders Have a passion for cooking
Be able to organise production schedules Have knowledge of Food Handling and Food Safety procedures Able to work well under pressure Tasks: Preparing and cooking various food items as per the menu Prepare daily production list Planning menus Estimate and manage stock levels, assist with ordering, and minimise food wastage Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures Guiding and giving direction to other kitchen staff Ensure that all recipes, food preparations, and presentations meet the business specifications and commitment to quality. Ensure that all stations remain stocked before and during the working period.
Verify that other staff follow all recipes and portion servings correctly Ensuring proper sanitisation of working stations, storage area and the entire kitchen area. Places food and supplies orders as directed. Train kitchen staff and junior staff.
Organise a kitchen meeting to discuss various problems and provide solutions Managing staff levels in the kitchen area Benefits: Free staff meals during working shifts provided Schedule: 8-hour shift (Thursday to Tuesday)- Servicing Hours 12 pm to 9 pm(1st May to 25th December each year) 8-hour shift (Wednesday to Tuesday)- Servicing Hours 12 pm to 9 pm (26th Dec to 30th April each year) If Interested, please attach your resume and a cover letter detailing your experience.
